The reality in most practices

Sound familiar?

01

Staff leave — and no one knows why until it's too late.

Exit interviews are rare, honest ones rarer still. By the time the warning signs are visible, you're already short-staffed and advertising again.

02

CQC asks about staff wellbeing. Most practices can't show the evidence.

Good intentions and a policy aren't evidence. Inspectors want dates, response rates, themes, and documented actions. Most practices don't have that ready.

03

There's no time. There's never any time.

New tools get added to an already full plate. This one is designed to run without adding to yours — under two hours of manager time per quarter.

Who this is for

How it works

Support your staff.
Prove it when it matters.

Three tools that do the work for you — so that when CQC asks, you have the answers ready.

🏥

Staff Wellbeing Hub

A private space for every member of your team — used in their own time, without manager involvement. What your staff actually see when they log in:

  • Mental, physical, and financial wellbeing resources
  • NHS self-assessment and BMA burnout screening tools
  • Helpline directory covering mental health, finances, and personal crises
  • Private — no manager can see what they access
📊

Managers' Wellbeing Hub

Managers carry the team — but who supports the manager? A dedicated space for practice managers and partners to access support and lead without running on empty.

  • Spot staff pressure before it becomes a problem
  • Guidance for difficult conversations
  • Consistent approach across your whole leadership team
  • No extra admin — structured support built around your role

Why this is different

Not another generic wellness app.

Most wellbeing platforms are built for corporates and bolted on to GP practices as an afterthought. This was built from the ground up for the specific pressures, structures, and CQC requirements of primary care.

1

Designed for primary care, not adapted for it

The questions, reports, and frameworks reflect how GP practices actually work — including PCN context and workforce pressures.

2

Combines support and insight in one place

Most tools do one or the other. This gives you usable data alongside real resources your staff will actually use.

3

Designed with CQC in mind from day one

Evidence is structured, dated, and ready to use — aligned to CQC's Single Assessment Framework and NHS Health & Wellbeing Framework, not something you scramble to pull together before an inspection.

What changes

What your practice looks like after six months.

This isn't about completing a survey. It's about building a culture where staff feel heard, managers feel supported, and you have the evidence to prove it.

🗣️

Staff feel heard — not just surveyed

Engagement goes up when people see their feedback actually leads to action

🧑‍💼

Managers stop carrying everything alone

Structured tools mean consistent support, not just whoever shouts loudest

📄

CQC evidence that holds up

Well-led and Safe domains covered with defensible, dated records

🔄

Better retention and team culture

Staff who feel valued stay longer — and tell others the practice is a good place to work

CQC Well-led & Safe — before and after

Before: "We value our staff's wellbeing."
After: Staff feedback from Q1–Q3 2025 shows a 14% improvement in psychological safety scores. Actions taken are documented here.
Before: "We encourage staff to raise concerns."
After: Anonymous survey with 87% response rate. Key themes addressed in team meeting March 2025. Evidence pack available.

Common questions

We know what you're thinking.

💬

Won't staff just ignore another survey?

Possibly — if it doesn't lead to anything. That's why every survey cycle includes a documented action log. Staff see their feedback result in real changes, not a PDF that disappears. Response rates improve when staff trust the process.

⏱️

We don't have the capacity to run another programme.

You don't run it. Wellbeing de la vie runs the questionnaires, produces the reports, and sends the reminders. Most practices spend under two hours per quarter on this. Your job is to read the report and act on it.

🔒

If staff have individual logins, how can it really be anonymous?

Logins keep the platform secure and ensure each person completes the survey once. But responses are aggregated — no one, including the practice manager or practice owner, can see what an individual person said. What's shared stays in the data, never attached to a name.

What practices say

"It gave us something tangible to show CQC. Not just 'we care about our staff' but actual evidence — response rates, themes, what we did about them. That's what makes the difference."

Yes. Every team member gets their own individual login, tied to their email address. This keeps access secure and ensures your wellbeing reports reflect genuine, individual responses — not one person filling in for several.

No — and this is by design. Shared logins undermine both the security of your account and the integrity of your wellbeing data. Each login is personal, which protects your team's privacy and means the reports you produce for CQC reflect real, individual feedback.

The questionnaire focuses on three core areas: Culture & Leadership, Employee Support, and General Wellbeing. It's designed to surface what's genuinely happening in your practice — not just what looks good on paper. The results feed directly into your quarterly and annual wellbeing reports.

We recommend a minimum of twice a year, with quarterly completion being the ideal. Running it at both the start and end of the year is particularly useful — it gives you a clear before-and-after picture of whether any wellbeing initiatives you've introduced have actually made a difference.

Yes — in two ways. When staff log in, a prompt on the platform reminds them to take part. We also send a quarterly reminder to encourage completion. We keep these deliberate and limited so your team doesn't feel bombarded, and so they continue to engage with the monthly wellbeing content they receive.

Individual managers are also encouraged to prompt their teams directly, which tends to improve response rates significantly.

The questionnaire lives inside the Wellbeing de la vie platform — it isn't sent out as a separate link or external form. Staff simply log in and complete it from there. This keeps everything in one place, makes tracking participation straightforward, and ensures your reporting data stays consistent and auditable.

If CQC walked in tomorrow, could you show them your evidence?

Not a policy. Not good intentions. Actual records — response rates, themes, actions taken, dates. That's what inspectors want. That's what this gives you.
